Description:

The Power of Pets empowers people to take the necessary steps to transform grief into healing. It is a journey of discovery so that we can mend and continue to move forward. This book is about pet loss, however, you may be pleased to discover that the main tools can be easily utilized to help you heal from any type of loss.

Excerpt:

I invite you to go on a journey with me and I’d like you to use your imagination for the next few minutes.

This journey begins in a plush green garden. In this garden, you see many flowers, plants, and trees. The colors are vibrant and breathtaking. You notice there is a path and this path is made of cobblestone. You decide you are ready to take a walk and see where this path might lead.

As you walk along the path, you notice birds singing; there is a brook and you hear the soft sounds of nature singing to you. You continue walking and notice something that looks like a fork in the road where you can go left or you can go right. As you look closer, you notice that there are more forks. In fact there are several of them. There are seven forks in total.

The seven forks in the road may look overwhelming at first and you instinctively want to turn back. You don’t know where these forks or paths will lead you. Maybe you’ll get lost! But then you see a sign that says, “All Paths Lead To Healing”.

The next step is yours to choose. Will you choose one of the paths? Or will you turn around? If you choose to turn around, that’s okay, it’s your journey and you are in charge of it. However if you choose one of these 7 paths, you just might find it leads you to exactly where it says it will: “All Paths Lead To Healing”.

To those who choose the first path, come with me and let’s take that first step together.

Karma Yoga and Mind

Karma Yoga and Mind

What you see here is a book that everyone should read and I mean everyone. Karma Yoga and  Mind belongs in every grade 12 classroom. I wish I would have had this to know and understand before leaving home at 18 years of age.

Please read this passage I chose from Chapter 6: Yoga and Healing ~ "Choices can be made in life to bring about that desired change in life, but at the same time, the older patterns have to be healed whole and complete, so that the new set of choices can successfully bring about the desired change in life.

If not consciously, one always indulges in dealing with oneself subconsciously, and one's own projection of others. These events and experiences also manifest as dreams sometimes in order for the healing process to be complete.

Note about video - You can play on this page only as it is from Vimeo. (Blogger plays it in their YouTube format)

*****
No matter your beliefs; Christianity, Buddhism, Atheist or even Agnostic there is great knowledge to be found in this book and in yoga in general. It calms, centers and makes you refocus your energy on positive thoughts. If yoga - and the understanding of centering oneself - were not beneficial it would not have stood the test of time and continue to help so many thousands of years later.
~ Excerpt of Review by Mika - Brilliant connection between Karma, Yoga and the Mind

YES you can purchase Karma Yoga and  Mind on Sandeep Khurana's website or via Amazon on Kindle. (Note - 99 cents on the website. It's your choice)

I am listening to the Waterfall song right now as I write this post. Beautiful and so peaceful. You can listen to samples to see what music and sounds resonate with you. I also bought the 60 minutes of Relaxing Music.

It is not surprising that to learn that he has more than a million people in over 50 countries subscribing to his music. S K Infinity Music

Key Methods to Detoxing

Discover How to Boost Your Health and Decrease Your Risk of Unwanted Health Problems!

No doubt, YOU TOO have heard of the phenomena termed DETOX or DETOXIFICATION, the cleansing of harmful toxins from the body, or also commonly known as flushing your system. Detoxification is one of the more widely used treatments and concepts in alternative medicine. It is based on the principle that illnesses can be caused by the accumulation of toxic substances (toxins) in the body. Eliminating existing toxins and avoiding new toxins are essential parts of the healing process.

Detoxification utilizes a variety of tests and techniques. Detoxification methods of healing have been used for thousands of years. Fasting is one of the oldest therapeutic practices in medicine. Hippocrates, the ancient Greek known as the "Father of Western medicine," recommended fasting as a means for improving health. Ayurvedic medicine, a traditional healing system that has developed over thousands of years, utilizes detoxification methods to treat many chronic conditions and to prevent illness.

These types of natural processes and functions of cleaning, clearing and cleansing, getting rid of waste and toxins from the body, are typically handled by organs like the liver, lower gastrointestinal tract and kidneys.

Recently however, it has been suggested by practitioners and advocate alike that these processes are beneficial for health, well-being and even longevity. They argue that they can be mastered and learned, as well as achieved by balanced living, intervention-type practices and techniques.

Embracing Your Divine Self

Embracing Your Divine Self

Guest Article by Rosa Medina-Fassett

Embracing Your Divine Self:
The Empaths Guide to Balance, Happiness, and Self-Acceptance

Do you find yourself frequently feeling anxious, angry, depressed, emotionally overwhelmed, or moody for no reason? Do you feel great and excited about going to an event but feel stressed, exhausted, or drained immediately after? Do you listen with compassion to others and are able to see in between the lines and right though lies? If you have picked up this book, then you are an empath.

This book will teach you everything you need to know about being an empath. It will help you embrace your divine self as you read through the pages so that you can live a life full of  balance, happiness, and self-acceptance.

I am an empath, a highly sensitive person, an intuitive, and a healer. I love who I am and what I do, but most importantly, I love and enjoy giving to others. Until I learned self-awareness, how to master my abilities, tools to stay balanced, and how to heal myself, I was always giving too much and feeling emotionally unstable.

After graduating from college in 2006, I became a child counselor and therapeutic behavior coach. I gave so much time, love, and energy to my professions that I found myself unhappy, stressed, overwhelmed, physically ill, crying often, and feeling empty after a couple of years. Feeling like my heart was 100% into those professions, but the rest of me couldn't handle it, I transitioned myself into massage therapy. After only five months, I was burnt out and could no longer massage. It was then when I realized that something had to change, and I decided to investigate and tap into my feelings. I realized I was giving a lot to others and neglecting myself. I was so concerned and preoccupied with carrying other peoples’ burdens and needs for them that I found no time to take care of myself or my needs.

Through self-awareness, many teachers, and different alternative tools I have learned how to embrace my divine self and master my gift of empathy. I have also learned to live a life full of balance, happiness, and self-awareness, and I still help others on a daily basis.

I have been working as an intuitive holistic healer since 2009, and I absolutely love what I do. I find that I am able to use my gift and give to others every day now. I am also able to give to myself, which allows me to feel happy, grateful, and valuable on a daily basis. This book will teach you everything you need to know in order to embrace your divine self and master your gift of empathy so that you can feel happy, grateful, and valuable on a daily basis, too.

Embracing Your Divine Self is FREE on Amazon Kindle November 30th and December 1st, 2013

Note from Seann - I have this book and it is wonderful. Often I will look at the content headings and decide from there whether I want a book or not. These are the two chapters that caught my attention.
  • Chapter 6: Understanding and Maintaining your Emotions, Energy, and Chakras
  • Chapter 7: Healing and Self-Expression
