What is the most nutrient dense botanical on earth?

moringa

Talk about being intrigued! (That also seems to be the word of the week for me by the way) I have never heard of Moringa before but am I ever happy that I have now. This tree has been named the "Botanical Tree of the Year".

From the books description on Amazon: Scientists agree this is the most nutrient dense botanical on earth weighing in with over 92 verifiable cell-ready nutrients including 46 antioxidants, 36 anti-inflammatories, vitamins, minerals, omega oils and 20 amino acids (vital proteins) including nine that are rarely found intact within our present food chain.

For centuries many cultures especially India and the Philippines have used various parts of the Moringa tree for cooking. In India, Moringa leaves are often a main ingredient in dishes such as curries. In the Philippines, the leaves are used in several soups and even to create candy.

While Moringa oleifera has only recently been introduced to the North American market, throughout northern India and Africa natives have revered it for centuries as a disease fighting, health building tree. Interestingly enough, it has been dubbed a 'Miracle Tree' because of its life-saving and life-giving potential.
