Burn the Dead

BurnTheDead_new

BURN THE DEAD. The brand new zombie horror from author Steven Jenkins. Published by Black Bed Sheet Books.

Guest Post by Steven Jenkins

Robert Stephenson makes his living cremating zombies—a job that pays the bills and plays tricks on the mind. Still, his life is routine until one day his infected wife, Anna, shows up in line for the incinerator, and Rob must cremate the love of his life.

In a race against the clock, he must find his four-year-old son Sammy, who is stuck in a newly quarantined zone teeming with flesh-eaters, and crawling with the Necro-Morbus virus.

Does Rob have what it takes to fight the undead and put his broken family back together?

Or will he end up in his own incinerator, burning with the rest of the dead?

Review by Chloe H ~ Not your average zombie fare
Burn The Dead is not your average zombie fare (which I'd imagine would technically be brains). Most books with undead themes are pretty horrendous or, at best, generic. This book is neither of those things.
Humorous, tongue-in-cheek commentary, endearing characters, natural dialogue, and a compelling plot. Really, what else do you need?
In this story, what pushes it over the edge isn't anything necrotic or the cute use of phrases like "dead or old fashioned dead?" It's Sammy. Sammy ups the ante, adds sympathy and brings heartbreak to the story.

Burn the Dead is available on Amazon (Kindle and Paperback)
