The Healthy Lifestyle Book

The Healthy Lifestyle Book

UK USA CDN AU

A very interesting book, sharing very useful methods of cleaning and organizing your home. A very easy to read and follow tips are shared in it. Recommended for anyone, even if you already consider yourself well organized, you'll still find some interesting new ideas. ~ Review by Yukie Davidson

Description:

Our world is so enamored of busyness, our culture places such a high value on multitasking that nobody is ever going to tell you to put silence and stillness on your “to do” list for the day. If we listen to the world and its agenda for us to work, hurry and succeed, we will find ourselves empty, unsatisfied and disconnected from our very own selves. When you want to change your life, you have to think care, love, health and strength among others. This precious thought is lost when you don’t have time or you don’t make time to uplift your habits. As you read this book, ask yourself, “what habit do I need to add to my “to do” list concerning my lifestyle?”

Every healthy routine we adapt yields its tribute of delight. Every change we make corresponds to and authorizes new state of mind, from breathless hopelessness to grimmest sunshine in the midday. It is therefore necessary to uplift our lifestyle. Our daily habits don’t have to be a long hard cognitive process. Even on a minor scale, personal goals are not hard to accomplish with the right information and support. We just have to be vigilant in undertaking the proper habits that would ensure good health.

This book will discuss some of the ways we can practice a lifestyle that attempts to make our relationships with others healthier, a lifestyle that involves caring for others/our loved ones, and maintaining proper hygiene and healthy choices! It recommends habits such as using natural alternative treatments like herbs to boost immunity, spending time with family or spouse to bring relaxation and relieve from routine tension, commitment and faithfulness, strengthening your health by appropriately following health choices like flossing teeth, washing hands and more!

Excerpt – Time with our loved ones

I’ll start with these two quotes:-

  • If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance. George Bernard Shaw
  • Love your family. Spend time, be kind & serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised & today is short.

If we have the heart to see and cherish it, our families would become our great source of peace and blessing in our daily lives. I feel encouraged by my family’s company as I hold within me poignant moments in my own life, vivid times of joy and fear with my family, moments of ups and downs yet holding on to love, moments of despair strengthened only by knowing that I am never alone, moments that are backlit by mystery, but I am heartened by the great care that rises out of them.

We seem to live in a world of “never enough.” That is certainly what television, movies and advertising tell us. No matter how much we have, a little “or a lot” more would be better. We are told over and over whether we think we’re listening or not, “You will never be truly fulfilled and happy until you get that one job, that one car, that one house. Then you’ll be happy and have all you need.” But when will that be?

Your Chinese Astrology Guide 2014

Chinese_Astrology_2014_Guide

“Each year is bringing different energies in our lives. Some of them are beneficial and other ones are not. Like always in life, luck is oscillating while challenges are changing places with opportunities.” ~ dragon-gate.com

What is Chinese Astrology?

It is an ancient system which relies on a number of factors in order to predict what the days ahead might bring. Such as;
  • The flow of energy
  • Natural elements
  • Contradicting powers

So where do you stand in this Jia Wu (Wooden Horse) year of 2014 in context of your romantic life, career, entrepreneurship and health, both physical and mental?

From the desk of dragon-gate.com:

Life is a journey that is best experienced by taking each day as it comes and living through every moment that is tossed on the path by powers that be. That said there are times when it is impossible to embrace its unpredictability with a balanced frame of mind. In such a situation, it is but natural to wish there was some way that would somehow give inkling as to what the future may have in store.

The Old Guy Rules for Monster Workouts

Old Guy Rules
Awesome book. Takes all the confusing scientific and marketing crap out of work out books. The book gives everyday people the chance to read and understand working out and the gym with out feeling like they have to be professional body builders. Can not wait for the rest of this series to come out and what type of work outs he suggests.
~ Review by Kenny M. - Awesome starter book

Excerpt:
"Fitness and good health shouldn't be complicated, and they shouldn't cost 30 bucks to buy a book about them . These books are for average people, men and women, who are getting older and finding it more difficult to keep their “girlish figures.” I've tried to include as many tips and tricks as I can in each book that will help my readers get over the obstacles that are increasingly in our path as we age. I’ve never touched a steroid or injected any PED’s into my body. I believe in good food, working hard, working smart, and enjoying good health. It doesn't have to be a full-time job, and it can be a lot of fun." (Old Guy Fitness Series) (Kindle Location 68 -71)

What this book is about:
This is the first of a series of fitness books designed to make working out easier, more effective, and more fun. While the books are tailored for men and women who are advancing in age (the author is 49), the tips in each book will benefit people of all ages. The author, Jim Rodgers, a former college All-American football player, shares workout secrets he learned through over 30 years of trial and error in the weight room, on the athletic field, and at the training table. These books are for regular people who want to look better, feel better, and have more energy and overall good health without spending their entire day in the gym. The lifting and cardio workouts in the books are designed to be 30 minutes or less, and Jim has simplified the workouts so that even beginners will have no problem understanding how to do them.

Meet the Author!
Jim Rodgers

Growing up in tiny Effingham, Illinois, Jim Rodgers dreamed of someday becoming a professional football player. A Division III All-American defensive tackle at Eureka College and a member of Eureka's Athletic Hall of Fame, Rodgers has always prided himself on overcoming obstacles in his life. However, he counts as his greatest achievement raising his two children on his own after his first marriage ended abruptly. Rodgers has been a high school English teacher for 25 years and lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife, three children, his Bullmastiff Conan and an obese cat named Achilles.
