An excellent book, I love a world where maths and latin is magic. It can seem that way and this will certainly help my son improve his understanding and the way he thinks about mathematics. Latin the basis of grammar, another great learning tool and this book helps promote it, the story itself follows a young girl as she is transported to a world and helps the city defend against the evil wizards set on its destruction. The book is easy to follow and allows children to learn about growing up, as well as teaching them the value of learning. Five stars. ~ Review by Nic Thomas

Book Description:

What is the missing variable?

Alex, a young precocious girl, mysteriously gets transported to a strange world where Latin and Math combine in formulas and equations with magical effects.

With a cruel council leading the only safe city of it's kind in this world, she will have to prove her worth to stay as well as help this city as it is the target for two evil wizards who seek to destroy the city and it's ruling council.

Will the council's mighty army of guardians be enough to repel the onslaught of the two wizards' wrath?

To help the city and also get back home, she will need the help of the greatest mathematician of all time, Archimedes. In a world where math is magic, Alex wishes she paid more attention in math class.
